It’s being about that the ‘towel trick’ will remedy the 3 red light ring of death.
The trick is like this:
1. You wrap the Xbox 360 in towels
2. You turn it on for fifteen minutes and then turn it off.
3. You turn it back on again.
4. It works.
And this seems to have worked for some people.
But to me, this sems like lunancy when there is no need for this. It fact it is dangerous.
Let me say that again.
It’s dangerous!
As I say in the page on why? (the 3 red light ring happens), the reason is that the unit overheats. Badly overheats, at times.
So wrapping it in towels will make it OVERHEAT MORE
God only knows why this works for some people.
It is hardly the solution. And the unit may just catch fire and then you’ll have to buy another one.
That seems to make little sense to me!
